The organizing team
Who’s behind Up The Hill? Up The Hill, or UTH for short, is organized by the Albstadt sports club albside e.V. Such an event wouldn’t be possible without the many dedicated club members and other volunteers.
Here’s an introduction to the organizing team.
Sven Schairer
In addition to his role as Chairman of albside e.V., Sven is also the main organizer of Up The Hill.
He regularly runs on all the trails and paths in and around Albstadt. However, he feels most at home on ultra trails in the mountains.
At Up The Hill, he is responsible for the overall organization of the event and, in particular, the sporting aspects. He handles everything from registration and route planning to timing.
Marc Herter
Marc is our “Head of Running” at albside e.V. He’s also an avid trail and ultra runner.
During the UTH, you’ll often find him with his camera at various points along the course. Before the starting gun, he’s out there with signs and barrier tape, ensuring the trails are in top condition. Marc is also responsible for the sound and lighting.
Jens Wilberg
Jens is the second chairman of albside e.V. and is always there when needed.
He’s also a regular runner and the leader of our Mabitz running group.
At the UTH race, he’s usually found in the finish area, assisting with timing and announcements.
Steffen Conzelmann
The man in charge of finances and with many contacts in Albstadt. Steffen is responsible for all financial matters not only at albside e.V. but also at Up The Hill.
Furthermore, he oversees the organization of UTH beyond the sporting aspects, both before and on the day of the event.
Nadine Koch
The heart and soul of our team is always fully committed and passionate. Together with Tanja, she’s completely responsible for the Kids Run.
In addition, Nadine manages the coffee and cake area and is always at the forefront of the decorations.
Yannick Kalk
Yannick is also an ambitious runner and a sporting all-rounder, whether it’s OCR, running, or biking.
At Up The Hill, in addition to the organization, he’s responsible for the aid stations and volunteering, among other things.
Tanja Boss
Tanja works primarily in media for albside e.V. and UTH.
Together with Nadine, she lovingly organizes the Kids Run, making it a truly special event for the little ones.
