ROUTE

The UTH5 – Sprint is the compact powerhouse of our event: fast, direct and the perfect choice for running beginners, speedy young athletes or pure short-distance sprinters. Just like the UTH10, the route runs exclusively on gravel forest tracks and tarmac – a pure sprint race and not a trail race. For optimum propulsion and secure footing on the gravel sections, we recommend classic running shoes with a well-treaded sole.

Your race starts at the festival hall in Margrethausen. From here, you immediately pick up speed and follow the tarmac on a steady but moderate climb into the picturesque Käsental valley. You pass the youth campsite and continue straight ahead to the idyllic end of the valley. Here, you leave the valley floor and turn onto the lower Heersbergweg – a slightly uneven, partly gravel forest track where you need to maintain your rhythm.

At the end of the track, you join the exciting final section of the UTH10. Now it is time to summon all your strength once more as a slightly steeper descent takes you rapidly back towards Margrethausen. The final metres on tarmac lead you straight into the start/finish area to the cheers of the spectators – and directly into that well-earned feeling of triumph:

You have rocked the UTH5!
