Mandatory equipment

Trailrunning on the Swabian Alb means experiencing nature at its best – and nature can be unpredictable. To help you prepare for any weather and terrain, we have put together a compact mandatory kit list for the UTH50 and UTH25. This helps keep you safe and ensures a fair race.

  • Pre-race kit check: Before you set off, we will check the contents of your race pack together with you.
  • Weather check: If rain or wind is forecast on the Alb, we will let you know in good time if a waterproof jacket becomes mandatory.
  • Fair play: Please carry your mandatory kit throughout the entire race. It is part of the trailrunning spirit and helps avoid unnecessary time penalties.

What to carry in your race pack:

  • Trailrunning shoes
  • Technical running clothing
  • First aid kit (emergency blanket, elastic bandage, medical tape, wound dressing)
  • Mobile phone (switched on and charged)
  • Drinking cup (no cups provided at aid stations)
